1947 Company founded by William Eric Parsons a Civil Engineer at The Old Brickworks in Lime Street, Ellesmere Port. To carry out public realm works in the Cheshire and North Wales Area.
1954 We moved to our current premises at Victoria Road, Ellesmere Port
1954 Jack Copple joins the company managing all outside contracts, having previously supplied the business with hired plant.
1955 Company is incorporated.
1957 John Copple, Jack’s son enters the business as a trainee. In these early days we worked mainly out of the local quarries in and around Ellesmere Port, Chester and North Wales with the fleet of 10 ton wagons steadily growing.
1970 John takes over as Managing Director
1974 to 1994
The company starts to take on larger projects, including a massive programme of work in Runcorn New Town and working closely with British Waterways opening up toe paths as exciting new areas of leisure activity and we tackled the more unusual like preparing the ground for the for the archaeologists to explore the Chester Amphitheatre and building the walkways to show case their work.
1994 Richard Walters, John’s son-in law joins the business from an engineering background.
2007 John retires and Richard takes up the reins as Managing Director
2010 Our award winning project at Edgars Field is opened to the public
2011 We win a major contract for the Duke of Westminster’s Estate
2012 Work commences on the improvements to Rossmore Road play area and footpaths
2013 Two playgrounds completed for Cheshire West & Chester Council, plus landscaping and improvements to canal side footpaths.
2014 We were awarded contract to carry out improvements from a local housing trust, ongoing 2 years works.
2016 We were awarded contract for works with local housing trust.
2017 We opened a fabrication facility to enable us to offer a wider service.
2018 We have worked on two major drainage projects for local land owners to aleviate flooding
